Andrew Redlawsk* (BJ) is stoked to be going down a different road with this awesome cast. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago, he is still pretty fresh to the New York scene. His most recent credits include Assassins with Momentum Rep in NYC, A Christmas Carol at Drury Lane Oakbrook Theater, the world-premiere of The Bowery Boys at the Marriott Theatre, and understudying the role of Davey in The Lieutenant of Inishmore at Northlight Theatre – all in the Chicagoland area. He also tours the country with Beethoven Lives Upstairs! andMozart’s Magical Voyage as a part of Classical Kids – a company that collaborates with symphony orchestras to bring the music of great composers to young people around the world. William Goulet Kean (Jack) grew up in Savannah, GA. He moved to New York to go to school at NYU where he graduated with honors from Tisch with a BFA in Acting. He studies singing at an opera studio and does stand-up in his free time. He also writes/directs/acts in his own online sketch comedy group whose website is www.youtube.com/user/keabott. He’s very happy to be a part of BJ: A MUSICAL ROMP, and hopes that the audience has as much fun seeing it as he did rehearsing it.
Tramaine Montell Ford (Mullins) is an American actor, singer, dancer, comedian, and model residing in New York City. He is happy to be working on BJ: A MUSICAL ROMP. Credits include Saturday Night Live, Aida (International Tour), ABC’s One Life To Live, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Hamlet, Hairspray (2007 film), The Today Show, The Alvin Ailey School, Lady Gaga (dancer), College Humor, and his One Man Show “The Tramaine Experience”. Susan McBrien* (Mother) Susan appeared Off-Broadway last year as Angelina in FLAMINGO COURT and originated the role of Gloria in the new musical SOME THINGS GET BETTER WITH AGE. Film credits include playing Sydney Pollack’s secretary in MICHAEL CLAYTON (got to work with George Clooney) and a nasty Queens neighbor in 3 BACKYARDS, directed by Eric Mendelsohn, Winner-Best Director-Drama at Sundance. She can currently be seen in MGMT’s music video FLASH DELIRIUM and recently shot a guest star role in an upcoming episode of the hit Australian comedy series REVIEW WITH MYLES BARLOW. Peter Dagger (Book and Lyrics/Producer) is a playwright living in New York City. Peter has collaborated with composer Eric Jarboe on BJ: A Musical Romp and songs for the Rescignos’ Variety Show, an ongoing cabaret at the Duplex. Peter conceived and wrote Wait of the World, working with artist Sean Ward and director Jeremy Bloom at the Robert Moss Theatre as part of the Planet Connections Festival, where it was nominated for Outstanding Production of a New Play and Outstanding Playwriting of a New Play. Peter created www.IsntThatJustSpecial.com, a blog that reviews food and drink specials in NYC.
Eric Jarboe (Music/Producer) is a recent graduate of Syracuse University, garnering a BFA in Musical Theater and a BA in Economics. Past theater credits include Broadway’sThe Sound of Music (Swing Kurt/Friedrich) and Off-Broadway’s Ampersand (The Boy). In addition to BJ: A Musical Romp, Eric has collaborated on original songs in the musical theater style for The Rescigno’s Variety Show with Peter Dagger, and original rock music with his band Allaway. Eric now lives in Los Angeles and works as a PA in the production office of ABC’s primetime series Castle.
Matt Britten (Director/Producer) transitions from actor to director to producer to writer with captivating enthusiasm. Matt was recently featured in a New York Times article spotlighting up-and-coming comedians. With his producing partner, Peter Dagger, Matt helped to bring the award-winning Wait of the World to the inaugural Planet Connections Theatre Festivity in 2009. In 2008, Matt directed a reading of BJ: A Musical Romp. Matt currently resides in New York City. Proud member AEA and AFTRA.
Jonathan Breit (Music Director) is a composer and pianist living in New York City. As a pianist he has performed in venues around the city including the Duplex, Dixon Place, the 92nd Street Y. Recent compositions include The Rivals (BMI), The Senator and the Slave Girl (Yale University), and The Awkward Stage (Golden Fleece series), written with Leah Maddrie. He is currently developing a musical version of Sheridan’s Rivals. He holds degrees from Yale College and Mannes College of Music.
Kim Hale (Choreographer) A California native, Kim Hale recently returned to New York City after spending five years as an Assistant Professor of Dance in the BFA Musical Theater program at Syracuse University. She was recently featured in “Stephen Schwartz ~ Making Music” starring Malcolm Gets at Staten Island’s St. George Theater and just completed the workshop of “Eve’s Turn” choreographed by Michelle Weber. Her choreography credits include Expedia.com’s national promotional tour, “The World Goes ‘Round,” “Bye, Bye Birdie,” “Little Women,” the Bank of America Children’s Tour “Fractured Fairy Tales” and “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf.” Kim is represented by McDonald Selznick and Associates – NY and has been a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association since 1996.
Katja Zarolinski (Casting Director) is proud member of Actor’s Equity who recently graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Katja’s fervor for Casting developed while working as an assistant at Calleri Casting in the Spring of 2009. Katja currently works for The Arielle Tepper Semester for Careers in Theatre, a rigorous undergraduate training program based in Manhattan.
